Year 8 reading tests are coming – and for the children we missed in KS2, this changes everything.
FINALLY. The government has announced a mandatory reading test for every 13-year-old in England –
Our mission is to unlock reading success by equipping secondary pupils, Post-16 learners and young adults with a fully digital, age appropriate, systematic phonics system. Our system uses clear, step-by-step phonics delivery so that literacy becomes a right, not a barrier.
Read Revive’s reading system works to bridge the attainment gap and propel children towards functional literacy through engaging, age appropriate texts that are reflective of their interests and real life experiences.
By combining engaging fiction and non-fiction with interactive online activities and real world project based learning, we help rebuild confidence and develop decoding skills that can be applied beyond the system.
Read Revive© was founded by two SEN specialist teachers with over 30 years of combined experience. Whilst working together in a specialist provision for pupils with communication and interaction needs, Leanne and Georgia recognised a lack of age-appropriate resources for older primary and secondary learners who had not yet learned to read. Determined to challenge the idea that systematic phonics should stop after primary school, they created Read Revive to provide structured, respectful and engaging reading support for these learners.
Read Revive© offers a tiered subscription based on the number of learners using the reading system. All pricing is provided following a short consultation so we can understand your setting’s needs and ensure the most suitable and cost-effective package. Discounts apply to MATs, multiple site settings and specialist provisions.
We provide bespoke training tailored to a wide range of needs and settings, ensuring support that is practical, relevant, and impactful.
Our flexible approach allows us to deliver training either in person or online, making it accessible for all setting types. We also work with providers overseas, supporting pupils who are learning English or who have English as a second language.
By working closely with each organisation, we adapt our training to reflect real-world challenges and environments, empowering educators with the knowledge and confidence they need to make a meaningful difference.
At Read Revive, we believe that nurturing young minds and protecting our planet go hand in hand. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with the National Forest — a collaboration rooted in sustainability, education, and positive change.
